Tourist Information

Relieve the stress, visit the Vendée. Just a great place, designed to relieve the stress of a busy life.  Plenty of space, quiet roads and friendly people, and don’t forget the red wine.

The Vendee is of similar size to Devon, at 2,590 sq/miles but with less than half the population.  The road network is extensive, it is well signed and maintained.  Costal towns and villages can be busy during the summer months. However, most other areas are quiet and therefore a real pleasure to explore by car, cycle or on foot.

Most towns and larger villages have a Office de Tourism (Tourist Office) with helpful staff, many of whom speak English.
